Whale watching off Sydney Heads is an exhilarating adventure, an awe inspiring treat that you will remember forever! The southern hemisphere humpback migration is estimated to be approximately 30,000 whales this year, with an average increase of 11% per year, quite amazing considering these magnificent creatures were nearly hunted to the point of extinction 40 years ago.
TOUR INCLUSIONS
• 4 hour whale watching cruise from Eastern Pontoon, Circular Quay, along Sydney Harbour, out through Sydney Heads and return.
• Informative commentary on whales, their migration patterns and behaviour including a number of interesting facts and statistics.
• Buffet BBQ lunch on-board. Vegetarian and specific dietary requirements can be catered for with sufficient notice.
• Tea, Coffee and Water.
• Vessel the “Jerry Bailey” capable of carrying 180 pax with the number limited to 95 pax on whale watching tours to ensure everyone has a good vantage point. Fully qualified crew on board.
• Comfortable vessel with multiple outside viewing areas, indoor lounge area and licensed bar for beverages (extra charge).
The boat departs from Eastern Pontoon, Circular Quay, Sydney. The pontoon is located outside the restaurant called Searock Grill restaurant.
Departure Details
WHALE WATCHING • Bookings are essential. If you have purchased a prepaid voucher you will not be able to board the cruise without a confirmed reservation email issued by Oz Whale Watching. • Space is limited for safety reasons and for the comfort of our guests. Weekend cruises are popular and we recommend booking your cruise early to avoid disappointment. Refunds will not be issued if your preferred date is unavailable. • All date changes will incur an administration fee of $100 per person per date change. Changes made within 48 hours will result in forfeit of tickets. • We recommend you arrive 30 mins prior to the start time of your cruise. The boat will not wait for latecomers. If you miss the boat you will forfeit your tickets. • Dietary requirements must be specified at time of booking. • Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. PRICING POLICIES: CHILD POLICY Children 4 and under - $20.00 Children aged 5 - 14 - $50.00 CANCELLATION POLICY • No refund for cancellations within 48 hours of departure. • 100% refund is offered if cancellation occurs over 48 hours prior to departure (Not valid for tickets discounted by 50% or more. • Transfer of date only (outside 48 hours) administration fee applicable to $10 per person/per date change. WHALE SIGHTING GUARANTEE • Our success rate in seeing whales is approximately 90-95%. As whales are wild animals we cannot guarantee that whales are sighted on all cruises although it is rare that whales are not sighted. Refunds are not given. WEATHER DEPENDENT CANCELLATIONS • Oz Whale Watch operates within strict maritime safety guidelines and in extreme conditions Oz Whale Watching reserves the right to cancel a cruise in the interest of passenger and crew safety. In this unlikely event guests will be offered a return cruise FOC or a refund. • Windy and rainy conditions are not reasons for a cruise cancellation. If guests choose not to travel in inclement conditions they will forfeit the cost of the cruise. PARTICIPATION • The person(s) making this booking are responsible for ensuring that all members of their group/party are informed and aware of these terms and conditions contained within this document. • Participants must be fit & well and know of no reason why they should not undertake the voyage . If in doubt please consult your doctor. • As this is an open water cruise, names of all passengers and their individual contact details are required for each passenger. SEA SICKNESS • It is better to be safe than sorry, if you are unsure if you or any of your party will get motion sickness we recommend you consult a pharmacy or doctor for some readily available remedies. It can really make your day much more awesome than it already will be.
